Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Crofton Park
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Man with Van Crofton Park to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and related abuses within our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to uphold and promote human rights in all aspects of our business, and we are committed to continuous improvement in this area.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Man with Van Crofton Park provides local and regional transport and moving services, including household removals, small commercial moves and delivery support. Our operations rely on a combination of directly engaged workers, subcontracted drivers, vehicle hire companies, fuel providers, equipment suppliers and other supporting services. We understand that each part of this supply chain can present different levels of risk regarding labour exploitation and we work proactively to identify and address these risks.
Zero-Tolerance Approach to Modern Slavery
We maintain a clear and explicit zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. Any form of forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, servitude, or coercion is strictly prohibited in our business and in the activities of our suppliers and subcontractors. We will not knowingly engage with any party that is involved in or benefits from modern slavery. Where credible concerns arise, we will investigate promptly and, where appropriate, suspend or terminate relationships with those who do not meet our standards.
Policies and Governance
Our zero-tolerance position is underpinned by a set of internal policies and procedures designed to ensure that all workers are treated fairly and lawfully. These policies cover recruitment practices, working hours, pay, health and safety, and the responsible use of subcontractors. Senior management is responsible for overseeing compliance with these policies and for ensuring that appropriate resources are dedicated to preventing modern slavery risks.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We conduct due diligence on existing and new suppliers and subcontractors with the aim of identifying any potential indicators of modern slavery. This may include requests for information about labour practices, verification of identity and right to work, and confirmation of compliance with relevant labour legislation. For higher-risk relationships, we reserve the right to carry out more detailed checks, including on-site visits and structured audits. Where audits are undertaken, we assess working conditions, recruitment methods, payment terms and any use of third-party labour agencies. If any non-compliance is identified, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within clear timeframes, or we will reconsider the commercial relationship where improvements are not achieved.
Training and Awareness
We aim to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff, especially those involved in recruitment, supplier selection and day-to-day management of subcontractors. Training covers how to recognise potential warning signs, what questions to ask when assessing risk, and how to escalate any concerns. By building understanding within our team, we strengthen our ability to prevent and respond to exploitation.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Man with Van Crofton Park encourages all workers, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Concerns can be raised directly with management or through our established internal reporting channels. Reports can be made in confidence, and we will not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise genuine concerns. All reports are treated seriously, investigated appropriately, and addressed through corrective or disciplinary measures where necessary.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process requiring regular reflection and improvement. This Modern Slavery Statement and the supporting policies are reviewed at least once a year by senior management. During the review, we consider changes in our business, evolving best practice, feedback from workers and suppliers, and any incidents or concerns that have arisen. Where necessary, we update our procedures, strengthen our due diligence or introduce additional training. By reviewing our approach annually, we aim to ensure that our efforts remain effective, proportionate and aligned with our commitment to respect human rights.
This Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Crofton Park and represents our current position and ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.
